PenRad D/QC (Digital)
PenRad’s Digital QC Mammography module automates the process of recording and calculating for the digital environment for all the FDA recognized modalities AWS, RWS, and printers based on guidelines established by the individual manufacturers and/or MQSA.
PenRad offers a comprehensive Digital QA/QC module for digital imaging facilities in addition to our widely deployed analog module. The data is captured into a simple form to track, calculate, and record. The module produces instant MQSA reports for audit and inspections. The QA/QC data can be centrally located or installed on a laptop and transported to each room or reading area.
The PenRad QA/QC module incorporates one-glance technology and displays the QC status for each imaging (AWS) and reading (RWS) station, printer and repeat analysis on a single reminder screen. Data is collected on electronic worksheet screens for each device.
The main QA/QC screen displays the current status in a summary format for each imaging and reading station, printer, and repeat analysis. Each device can be labeled to match your facilities needs and the worklist can be ordered based on your workflow needs. A set of device templates are supplied for each of the manufacturer’s or MQSA guidelines for a device. Facilities select the template to apply for a device along with the scheduled day of week, day of month, etc.

The QC module has PenRad’s auto-remind that allows instant visualization of the QC status of all your devices on one screen. Simply tap on the device which brings the user directly to the recording screen. Once QC is recorded, the reminder color is set to green to indicate that the task is current. Yellow implies the task is due shortly, and red implies the task is late.
Separate automatic reminder schedules are available for each device for specific day, days of the week and month, or by month, week and day for each to correlate with manufacturers and/or MQSA guidelines.
Integrated into each device is variance-alert technology, combined with the automatic calculations to instantly notify user when variances are exceeded.
Automatically on the device recording screens, baselines, serial numbers, etc. are inherited from the previous recording event eliminating the need to re-enter data.

Ease of use and simplicity allow the facility to collect, retrieve and produce MQSA audit information effortlessly and instantly to increase staff utilization.
The QA/QC module tracks, reminds, and computes statistics for up to 16 AWS imaging stations, 16 RWS reading stations and printers. Separate repeat statistics can be monitored.
PenRad offers many products to increase the staff efficiency of breast imaging facilities. Our PenTrac and PenReader solutions allow facilities to track patient studies, generate patient exam and reminder letters along with the MQSA audit reports.
QA/QC Module (Analog)
PenRad offers a comprehensive QA/QC module for breast imaging facilities. The data is captured with simply the touch or tap of the finger and produces instant MQSA reports for audit and inspections. The QA/QC data is centrally located to eliminate the need to correlate and transfer data. This data may be captured or reviewed at any workstation and is capable of displaying a history log and producing a detailed printed hard copy MQSA report.
The PenRad QA/QC module incorporates one-glance technology and displays the QA/QC and operational status for each imaging station, reading station and processor on a single screen. The QA/QC module also provides repeat analysis, cassette and CEU status. Data is collected on electronic worksheet screens.
The QA/QC module has a unique auto-remind function that allows instant visualization of the current status of your facility. Independent reminder schedules display the current status for each reading and imaging station, processor, repeat analysis, cassette and darkroom. Separate reminder schedules are available for a specific day or days of the week and month, or by month, week and day for each item.
Variance-alert technology, combined with the automatic calculation of crossover, density, processor and phantom values, instantly alerts facilities when variances are exceeded.
Ease of use and simplicity allow the facility to automatically collect, retrieve and produce MQSA audit information effortlessly and instantly to increase staff utilization.
The QA/QC module tracks, reminds, and computes statistics for up to 16 individual imaging, reading and processing areas. Separate repeat statistics can be monitored for up to 16 different sites or locations. Unlimited numbers of cassettes at multiple locations may also be tracked and monitored. CEU credits can be tracked for your entire staff and may be identified by staff type and location.
The staff, with a single tap, can easily access or send any messages for any equipment that is off-line or down and instantly review corrective action and target return to service time. With a second tap, you can review or add data to record the QC session and immediately generate a QA/QC worksheet or electronically record the QA/QC data. |
